So I've heard speak of jobns such as copy editing, and doing voice overs for Native English speakers.

Has anyone done any of these jobs, or know anyone who has. Just want to make a bit of extra cash on the side.

Hi
Most people I 've met here used to be holiday reps. They knew buggerall about the country but they managed to waggle a bit of summer work as well as free food and lodgings coz they spoke English .

A friend of mine was in the Doğus ay advert a couple of years ago. Another friend was in a chewing gum advert and in a Turkish film called Yeşil Işık a couple of years ago. As far as I know they were just in the right place (bar) at the right time.

Hi Baba
Don't know their number but N.T.V and C.N.B.C pay native speakers to do a sort of spell check on their t.v shows subtitles. I heard the pay was not great, but you do the work form home.

I found my own job. I'm working for a multi-national firm doing export sales and customer relations. The things that got me hired are that I have been in country over 8 years and that I'm multi lingual (English/German/Spanish). My salary is almost double what I made teaching; with the possibility of raises and "incentives" . I miss some of my students but I don' t miss the backpackers, headcases and authority trippers who I dealt with in the ESL industry here.
