I wonder if people out there can give some advice... I've been teaching in Taiwan for 2.5yrs now and it's time to move on...I want to find another country where I'd be earning as well as I've done here (or at least to as close to if not more than)...

I've managed to save on average US$1400 monthly which is ok although that's not been consistent - some months it's almost double that whilst others it's been US$400.... so I'm looking for more consistency as well as good savings....at the moment until my debts are paid off, money is my priority - fortunately I'm passionate about teaching which helps!

Which country comes close - or betters this?

I've 2.5yrs ESL teaching experience plus a CELTA, that's it!

Any recommendations?

Many thanks!
Jessica

Does "that's it" include the nuance of no degree?

If you do have a degree, you ***might*** be able to save that much in the JET programme (although on the JET salary alone, that would be a lot to save). Especially if you engaged in the counter-contract privates on the side. A lot of people do, but it is officially breaking your contract. And if you live in a really rural area and stay off the phone you'll save more.

I would say China if you are clever enough.

Most people will say "No way! Impossible!"

But if I can do it, why can't you?

PM me if you want further info.
