hey there,

im going to be teaching in taoyuon in jan, i was wonderin what that city is like and what kind of activities/sports are there. Also, anything else about the city and what to expect would be great.

Taoyuan is a place to find abundant work and take advantage of relatively cheap rents etc, while still being close to Taipei.

Apart from light hiking at Tiger Head Mountain park there isn't alot for the active person here. There is a swimming pool complex called water world.

You'll probably find you'll take advantage of Toayuan's proximity to Taipei a lot.

Be forewarned virtually nobody can speak any English here.
