It may have been mentioned here before but I am wanting to know whether you need a visa to arrive in Thailand on a one way ticket with American passport. I though tI recalll it being said that a 30 day tourist visa is automatically granted once there. Just trying to cover my bases:)
thanks in advance for any info/suggestions.. |

If you are coming from America, it should not be a problem. That is how I came and I had no problems. I cannot speak for other nationalities however. |

It's not entering Thailand that's the problem. It's the airline issuing you a one way ticket, or them actually letting you on the plane with a one way ticket! You 'should' be okay as I've known people to do it on a 30 day stamp in BUT you MIGHT have problems I've heard of people being refused a one way ticket or being unable to board the plane (exeption rather than the rule though).
How long are you coming for? Why not get a 'proper' tourist beforehand? It's very easy to do so. |

You'll most likely be okay on a one way ticket. A lot of Consulates let you apply by mail, so you don't always have to go inperson. |
