Does anyone know how to make a collect call from a mobile (my serice provider is "3"), or even contact an international operator? I've asked about a dozen people, but nobody seems to know... Somebody gave a a number to dial for "information" (what would be 411 back home), but that didn't work on my phone. Sad

Don't know really, have you subscribed to an IDD service on your mobile? If not the easiest and cheapest thing would be to just get an IDD phonecard from 7-eleven and use a call box, I guess.

Yeah, I do have an IDD package. I need to call my bank/credit card company, and the website clearly says I can "call collect" from overseas. Yes, I know I *could* use a calling card, but you know how these things work, who knows how long I'll be on hold before I actually get through to someone in person?

Are you sure about that Luddy? Don't you want to check your facts just to make sure that you aren't mistaken again?

Wow. What a well thought-out post. Brilliant work. You should hold seminars on sarcasm and get paid for your wit.

OK, we all know now that Ludwig is useless to this thread (just this one?), so can anyone else tell me if they know how to contact an international operator, or how to call collect to Canada?

Despite making a collect call, I believe that your phone must be connected for IDD, longdistance calling...especially if it is a mobile phone.

I have IDD on my home phone with PCCW and it is CHEAP to call Canada direct.

I think the picture says more than any words I can think of. Look out for these beasties on this board.

I find it quite pathetic that a fully-grown adult does not seem able to work such details out for herself.

Maybe you could hold seminars and get paid for that? I agree, it is a troll.

You just cannot help yourself with providing quotes can you?
Lets see how many times we can use that against you. You just make my day all the time.
