Am about to return to Thailand and hoping to start work for the second semester. If I do not have a job before I leave here do you think I could leave one of my two passports (yes I have two...British and NZ) with a family member and enter Thailand on my other one. What I am thinking is if I have all the correct paper work and then get the school to send through their info to the embassy I could get my visa sent over to me while in Thailand.....I just really dislike the Penang trip......what do you think.....will it work?

It might work, but it's highly illegal mate! And they can tell 'cos you're stamps will be wrong. And also it's pretty difficult to change from one passport to the others once you've entered. Never use an Embassy either, as they'll generally make you go in person, which is going to be quite hard as you'll be in Thailand! Nice idea though!

NZ is a bitch for issuing multiple entry Non-imm Bs, although there is a comparable Visa that's easy to obtain from there. Or are you in the UK?

Am in NZ at the moment. Was thinking to get around the stamp issue just head to the Malaysian Border and leave on the passport with the tourist stamp do the loop and re-enter on the passport with my non- imm stamp.....maybe I should just not be a lazy ### and go to Penang. What are you saying about NZ being a *beep* to get visas etc?

^ Not quite as easy as that mate. You're supposed to be on the passport you exited on etc. Doable, but down to the Imm official and not easy in my opinion.

NZ will not (generally and IME) issue multiple entry Non-imm Bs. So what were you hoping to apply for?

Sorry, they only do singles and like to see a contract even to obtain one of those.

PM me as I might be able to give you some advice that may help!
