I have been reading different posts regarding ESL jobs in Chile, and have a few questions:

What time of year is best to find a job in Chile?

Would I be out of luck heading down there in June, July or August?

The best time of year to find work in Chile (Santiago) is in March. This is the beginning of the academic year.

The worst time is December - February as this is the summer. The worst month of all is February as nearly all Chileans go on holiday at once then. Even established teachers can have a gap in their work. It's best to take a vacation yourself in February really, although the weather is really nice in Santiago at this time.

June, July or August should be fine. It is the middle of winter and it's a time of work work and work for Chileans so demand for classes is good.
