I know we have quite a few people who are married here, so maybe you all can help. My husband and I didn't actually have a wedding so his mother wants us to at least get a wedding photo taken in kimono. I think it's a good idea, too. This way I can send out something in the mail to let others know I got married.

Does anyone know of a good studio? I actually got my picture taken for "seijin no shiki" when I was a student in Hakodate. They were very professional. I got hair/makeup and kimono all done there. And the photographer was fantastic. (I think he thought it a novelty to take a 'gaijin's picture) But anyway, I'm looking for the same thing preferable in the Tokyo area, but possibly the nagoya/gifu area as well.

have you considered contacting the photo studios at the big 5-star hotels? Many of them conduct weddings in the chapel in the hotel premises and most have a professional studio to cover weddings. Im not in Tokyo but big hotels like Shinagawa and Keio Plaza and Hyatt etc would be worth a shot.
