What are the mobile deals available in Saudi? And who are the companies that do them? I paid a (unsuccessful) visit to the sooq and came back none the wiser.

There's one company which is the telephone company. For a pre-paid card, First you go to Riyad Bank and pay, after filling in the form they should have there.

Then you go along to the phone company, fill in the form, give them the receipt and they should give you the chip, which you put in the phone.

That's how it works in theory. Ask somebody who has done it recently how it works in practice.
