Hi folks,
My family and I are preparing to move (back) to Spain from the States in late December. My husband is from Madrid (where we'll be living); I am American, but have the visa necessary to live/work in Spain.
My question, though, is not about employment. What I am looking for are Spanish-language courses for adults in Madrid. At the moment, I get by fairly well in Spanish, but I don't really believe that I will continue to improve just by living in the country and talking to people (though I'm sure this will help). I need to study grammar and vocabulary, and get up to speed on my writing in Spanish. Here in the States, there are adult-ed classes for ESL students at many community colleges. Are there places like this in Madrid? I don't want to enroll in a course that caters to high school or college students who are learning Spanish for fun for a year and then going back to the US or UK, if you know what I mean. I'd prefer to study with other "immigrantes" like myself!
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
