Hi all,
I've been offered an ESL job in Singapore for SG$2,800 per month (nothing else included). I'm really keen to take it and fly over but am concerned about the low wage. Will I be able to live on this and not be unhappily skint all the time? Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks. |

hi suzy. I taught in Singapore last year. Do not hesitate to go there. Singapore is a splendid country to live and work in.
2,800 Singapore dollars is a very good salary. I was on 2,300 and did not have any problems. You can live on 1,000, the rest you can save it.
Of course, western food or western amusement can be extremely high. If you adapt yourself to live like a local person you will be able to save most of your salary.
if you require further information feel free to contact me , I will be happy to share my experience there with you.
best regards,
gabo. |
