I have previously posted on this forum that just recently I was personally involved in processing an individual for a work permit to be a teacher. He had a two year diploma from England plus a tecahing certificate. The application was successful.

You don't make mention as to whether or not you have a teaching certificate. If you do not then this may be the problem as you do not meet the minimum requirements.

If you do have a teaching certificate in addition to your diploma, but are still finding that your application for a work permit is unsuccessful then you may find that there is a problem with the accreditation of the institution that gave you this certificate, in the eyes of the Taiwan government. Although you could argue for this institution to added to the governments approved list, this is a rather lengthy process that is best done back home.

Finally, you may find that the schools themselves are opting not to continue with your application as the government does treat applicants such as yourself more stringently. It is far easier for a school to get through an application from someone who has a full bachelors degree, and possibly the schools you have been dealing with realized this.

I would advise that you contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) or Council of Labor Affairs (CLA) yourself to find out exactly what the problem is with your application. Afterall, people like myself are just guessing, so it is best to hear it from the horses mouth.
