One epidemiologist from the WHO and one from the CDC have agreed that eradicating SARS is plain impossible for anything but the extremely distant future. They went on to say that ultimately, without exception, there can only be two categories of human life vis--vis SARS: those that are killed by it and those that are immune from it, either from vaccination or from surviving a SARS attack.

In light of the above and other disturbing news about SARS that weve been reading on a daily basis, to what extent are you worried about SARS?

Sounds scary, yes?

But the same thing is true of the common cold and every other disease in general circulation on this planet...you either fight it off or you don't. LIFE is scary, folks. Always has been.

This thing has thus far affected a couple of thousand in a region of hundreds of millions of incredibly densely-packed people. Am I going to take some basic precautions in certain very specific circumstances? Absolutely.

But as it stands now anyway, I am not leaving China, I am not staying home with my head between my knees, and I am not living in fear.
