Here's a topic. It came up in a previous thread, and I thought I'd explore it. Anyone game?

I'll admit that I've always wanted to marry a Japanese girl. The culture really interests me, the language is beautiful- and so are the women in my opinion. But I've given serious thought to this before...

I live in Canada, so I started to think in my mind how I could make this happen if I ever decided to act on it. Toronto seems like the easiest answer- Canada's largest and most international city. Surely there are many Japanese there. The problem I have with this idea though, is because Japanese people are certainly a minority in Canada, if I did meet one I seemed fond of, maybe it's just because she's the only one I know. Physiologically this is a problem for me, because I'd feel like I was just interested in her for the sole reason that she is Japanese, despite her personality, values, ect, ect.

So it seems like meeting someone in Japan is the best way to do it in my opinion. After all, there's not shortage of Japanese people. You could really take the time to search out a person who you truly care about.

This though introduces a host of other problems. Where to live: I cant imagine anyone wanting to live in Nova Scotia...I know I'm sick of it by now. But if I moved to Japan I know it would kill my family. Thus the unavoidable problem. Caught between worlds. Seems like the best answer is just to live in Hawaii.

Maybe I'm crazy, maybe not. I dont really know what I'm talking about, that's just seems logical to me.
