Visa services are all but gone. Even legit visas renewals (which you probably don't qualify for) cost 1900B to renew. Whether you qualify or not is up to the man in the uniform behind the desk at Immigration on Soi Suan Phlu -- but I can probably tell you now what he'll tell you if you visit him. Namely: it's time for you to take a bus to Poipet and back, sonny. Round trip bus fare and visa fee should be about 2500B, and it'll take a day (7am to 9pm) to do.

If you're on a 60 day (i.e. a proper tourist Visa obtained from a Consulate/Embassy) and you've not already extended it by 30 days, you're due a 30 day extension (with the Imm officers blessing, and I'd say you'd need to do something really wrong not to get it) for 1,900 Baht!

Alternatively use Jack Golf (do a search) or a similar legit Visa run service (where you physically have to go) for 2,000 Baht ALL IN (a good price). This can be done any day of the week!

There a re a few Vis agents (dodgy ones) still up and running, but they're charging 2,500 for a 30 dayer!

It all worked out fine....i went to the embassy in Bangkok with my border run visa i got in Mae sai, with this type you are only entitled to a 10 day extension but for some reason the lady behind the counter gave me a 15 day extension for 1900b and didn't charge me the 1 day over stay...must have been because i told her she looked 30ish when infact she was 50! quite attractive too, and she said i should return and teach some of her workers english Wink thanks for your help guys, Anton
