Does anyone know anything about a guy called Steve Moodie ([email protected], [email protected])? He's an agent from:

RAPID INTERNATIONAL RECRUITMENT AGENCY LIMITED
(REG:# 4644170)
16 Careg Llwyd
Broadlands
Bridgend
CF31 5BS
Wales
United Kingdom

I've heard in passing that the school he's been advertising to me is maybe not so good so that's piqued my curiosity in the guy himself. His English seems a little shaky at times, so maybe all is not what it seems.

Thanks,
Alex C-G

Are you advertising for that agent?

Anyway, some Chinese school leaders are very dynamic people. Some of them who cheat EFL teachers out of flight money, or accommodation, or overtime but no extra pay, or who don't supply proper legal work papers have to use agents in order to recruit teachers. This happens when the school's reputation becomes so bad and is widely known on the internet but the recruiting agent's name or reputation isn't known so EFL teachers fall victim to signing a contract first and then find out about the school later.

Some schools change their recruiting agents regularly too to keep ahead of the bad reputation that the school leaders continue to generate for their own school, themselves and the agents they use.

Time, and time, and time, and time again, experienced members of these forums strongly advise against using recruiters. Recruiters are in no way necessary for obtaining employment.

Would you trust a company that uses an AOL email address? A legitimate company should have its own domain at least.

Good luck.

I'm not advertising for the guy, just curious because i was considering using his services. Needless to say, I'm not so curious now, especially after finding out a little bit more info about the school he reccommended to me. Good point about the aol address, i really should've given that one more thought

Thanks for the help
