There are a few places you can check out online, Original Poster.
www.ChatHiroshima.com is a good place to start.
You can also ask questions there abotu any aspect of life in Japan / life in Hiroshima. It's an all-English forum like this one, but dedicated to Hiroshima specifically.
www.OhayoSensei.com is also good. Their job postings are for all of japan, but a little creative use of your text-search button (control-F in most Windows browsers) allows you to quickly find all references to "Hiroshima". After finding what looks like a good job there, if I were you I'd come back to Dave's ESL or ChatHiroshima and ask others if the school is any good. For example, on PAPER to a NEWBIE, Aaron's, Nova, or Lang school of Hiroshima all sound good...but they're actually crap. It's good to get input from the folks who've been here a while.
Offline, you might check out the Japan Times. (I think their Tuesday...or is it Monday... edition is heavy with employment ads for all of Japan. You can look at this newspaper for free at the Hiroshima International Center in Crystal Building, near Ana Hotel, if you're in Hiroshima now.
Welcome to the neighborhood. It's a blast. |
