Hi there,
I'll be over for the beginning of Nov to do a course, and will hopefully stay a year.
I have, or am getting most of the usual vaccinations but was wondering about the necessity of getting the Rabies and Japanese Encephalitis vaccinations.
Anybody got any ideas, suggestions or advice.
I know at this short stage I will be unable to do the full course for both of these, but the nurse reckons that something is better than nothing!!
Cheers

Eat Marmite. Eat garlic. Wear long sleeves and long trousers an before and an hour after sundown. Relax. Don't worry too much. Thailand is generally fine. You have more risk of dying in a motorcycle crash than dying of some tropical malady. |

JosephP is right. No need to worry much about vaccinations.
I came over with nothing and still have nothing.
If you're serious about reading up on this stuff, this link from the
CDC in Atlanta explains everything well, and is updated frequently:

Cool.
I've got everything else, but was just wondering about these 2.
I've been to Thailand before and didn't get them due to their expense and the fact I was only staying for 6 weeks.
Plus I've left it a little late anyways.
Cheers.
