hi, just wondering if anyone knows if there is much summer work being offered in thailand at the moment. The only problem is the only experience i have is from teaching practice in my TEFL course. Are there any other countries offering summer work this time of year?
thanks |

Pardon me, but your post is a tad confusing. Are you talking about the Antipodean summer or Northern Hemisphere summer. Also, it's nearly always summer in Thailand. At any rate, March, April, and May are popular times for English Camps (yechhh). The school year has just started its second term. There might be some schools caught short at the moment so if you start looking now you might find something that suits you. |

thanks for the reply and sorry my post was rather ambiguous. I was wondering about work during the thai summer.
do you know how likely one is to get work in thailand despite having next to no experience? |

johnk,
The Thai school year begins in May for the Prathoms (primary schools) and Mattayoms (secondary schools). March, April and May is the school holiday period.
To address your second concern, experience isn't necessary to land the job. Just show up, smile a lot and act like you know what you are doing and you'll do fine. |
