I found the ad in the Georgia Strait newspaper under classifieds:
See Career ad & click on it, it's a PDF file

The deadline is November 19, 2004 and there are application forms and information on the website. |

Is the number of Canadians about to go way up? Or have the numbers of Canadians applying gone down (this I cannot believe given the truly awesome job opportunities for recent graduates of arts/humanities programmes in our country)?
I ask because the Canadian arm of the JET programme had an ad on the Job listings page here earlier. No other country seems to be recruiting (or seems to need to recruit) outside of the normal university information sessions etc. that are done locally from city to city. |

Before this thread goes stale...
Hey, Vancouverites and BCers! Look again at Blue Jay's post - you've got two opportunities to learn more about JET from former ALTs and consular staff.
I'd be there to help you out, but I'm here in Japan. JET's one of the best deals around - you get taken care of every step of the way, get lots of support, meet other foreign nationals at events, get to be an ambassador for your country, get an insight into Japanese culture AND get paid and flown home again.
Sure, I had some tough moments during my JET year, but it really was one of the best years of my life. This year's damn good, too, back here in Japan land again. |
