Spain launches immigrant amnesty
The Spanish government has launched a programme granting legal amnesty to up to 800,000 undocumented immigrants.
Applicants who can prove they arrived before last August, have a job contract and no criminal record, have three months to sign up as taxpayers.

| The screw here seems to be that you probably won't get a contract without papers, even you do get some p/t employment under the table. As I sit here in Seville waiting for schools to call me back after an initial round of grip-and-grin how-do-you-do's, my impression is that you can't get a contract without papers, and you can't get papers without a contract. I would absolutely love to be proven wrong. |
