Wha'z up?
I worked for Inlengua about 3 years back. From what I understood at the time, it used to be somehow connected to Berlitz. If things haven't changed since I worked there they give you a training session that lasts about a weekend and you must use their method and books. Basically you have the book, but the students don't and your book gives you cues of targeted grammar and vocabulary that you model and the students repeat by you trying to ellicit verbal responses from the students that include the targeted grammar and vocabulary. You're also encouraged to have the students repeat until they can repeat correctly. They do not want you to give grammar explanations at all, they don't want the students to take notes, they just want you to create conversation based on what's in your book. It's a little difficult to explain in writing, but I hope you get the general idea. The pay was competitive in comparison to other schools, but like most institutions, the hours were really split up. General atmosphere wasn't bad, but a bit boring as far as the teaching method in my opinion. Don't know if it's the same place as it was since I was there, but I would look them up if you're interested in Quito. There are plenty of other places to teach at in Quito if you're interested in staying in Quito.
