				| Has anyone seen this, and did it make even the slightest bit of sense? How could anyone let such a ridiculous story get made into a film with such fancy special effects (except the supercharged emergency wagon, that was just plain daft)?
Answers on a postcard to the usual address.

				| Post subject gibberish for some reason .. but I guess you mean ночной дозор. I did like the beginning part with the ведма, especially the first time when you don't know what's happening. And also the bit with the mirror, very scary

It does have its own internal sense, for me what was slightly irritating was the ultra-high tempo music video style. Does anyone else see the influence of Bulgakov in the ideas?

I believe this was a book (or part of a series of books) written by some fantasy writer.

I think most Russians are just amazed that such a movie could be produced within their own country.

I might watch it again tonight with subtitles machine translated from Russian -> Chinese -> English. They're hilarious anyway!

				| Well guessed. I watched it a second time and more or less made some sense out of it. What a shame they wasted all those special effects on such a daft story. The plane clipping the rooftops was stunning. I thought it strangely appropriate that the view inside the ZIL (er, I think anyway) gearbox showed what looked like flying chunks of metal. | |
