I finally got a provisional contract from the EMB this morning. woohoo! This whole ordeal was definately a rollarcoaster ride. I had a principal calling me at 3:00 in the morning to ask me interview-type questions because she thought she was calling australia (i'm in US-east coast). Needless to say, that conversation did NOT go well. I thought that was it. I should focus on going back to school. But then, this wonderful lady from a school in taipo called. She was so nice, and considerate of the time difference and now, i'm really excited to be working with her. I know I don't post often, but there were a couple of people who were really supportive and I just want to thank them. |

Well done, my man! This just goes to show that it is quality that wins through in HK. A degree in education speaks for itself. Good to have you aboard!
Now prepare for a lot of fun and even more hard work! |

for those who's a NET now, can you tell me if the special allowance (meaning all $10,500 of it) is included in your paycheck every month or is it something that you have to expense based on your rent? |

Salary and special allowance are paid in one lump sum -- into your bank account. |

|

Just a general inquiry, Has anyone been contacted by the EMB HK regarding the advertised Advisory Teacher position which had an application closing date of 9/17/04. OR Has anyone been contacted yet by the EMB for the Primary NET jobs which had an application closing deadline of 10/29/04. If you have been contacted by the EMB, could you please give me some information regarding your situation.
Thanks. |
