I have heard very different opions concerning obtaining a master's degree online. I simply feel that obtaining a master's online would save me a lot of time and fit my lifestyle a bit better. Is this a wise decision or would I not be obtaining the best education I can get?

I had a similar question earlier and got some feedback. In a nutshell, it seems that there is no online Masters program in Applied Linguistics or TESL within the US and none in the world which is accredited in the US. There are a number in Australia (again, not accredited in the US) which are highly rated. These include Macquarie University and Northeastern University (forgive any misspellings there!). Feel free to do a search for "MA Applied Linguistics" and you can see for yourself. As for me, I'm planning to go to a Masters program in residence and am currently torn between the University of Houston, the University of North Texas and the University of Texas, Pan American (I get free tuition in TX public universities as a veteran).
