I was simply wondering if anyone knows of any states which do not require teachers to obtain a master's degree?

I'm not sure if I understand the question. If by "states" you mean countries, then there are many. In fact, few countries actually require a masters. Some, such as China and Taiwan, don't necessarily require a bachelors (though most schools do require them). If you mean "states" as states of the United States, no US state, to the best of my knowledge requires a masters degree of any teacher, at least not starting out. I cannot speak of states within other countries such as Mexico or Australia of course. Smile

Do you mean like to work at a college in the US, b/c a lot of people have told me that to work even at a community college in the US you have to have a masters. But I know the community college near me in Iowa will hire "adjunct faculty" with just a BA, but I think you can only teach one class/semester with this classification. You can't get hired part-time or full-time without a masters there.

In Montana, at a community education center, I was not qualified to teach their Englsih for non-native speakers class. I have a B.A. in TESOL. The position went to someone with a master's degree in adult education. I don't really understand. I mean, I took my gum out of my mouth and stuck it behind my ear before the interview. Rolling Eyes
