For the record, the BC pays from $1000 a month upwards, according to qualifications, plus an extra $300 for accommodation.

THAT is amazing!!!!!!!!! Shocked Is that the salary for a DOS ? or an ordinary language teacher? (But still, i won't live in Bucharest Twisted Evil Hopefully BC will open a school in Transylvania then... but i doubt it...)

No, that's for a teacher with CELTA. If you've got more years' experience at the BC or a DELTA or MA the pay goes up, as it does at all BC centres.

As for living in Bucharest, if you earn $$$$ it's a fantastic city to live in, and apart from the nice life, what about the freebies....I never have been to so many amazing parties, dinners, cocktail parties, restaurant openings, nightclub openings, opening openings, ambassador parties....etc etc than I did living 2 years in Bucharest! And of course to get away just fly to Sibiu or Cluj, hire a car and in 3 hours you're in Brasov......
