Hi Folks,
I am applying for TEFL jobs. I've been told that it is a good idea to put extra information on my CV such as: Gender, Citizenship, DOB, Place of Birth, Passport number and even a photo of me.
Is all of this needed? It looks out of place on my CV. What information does your CV have?
Thanks,
Truman |

I wouldn't put passport number, but all the rest looks right to me - assuming you're not sending that CV to anywhere in North America. It's fairly standard in other places. |

In Japan, you should really put nationality, date and place of birth, marital status, and visa status (or passport expiration date) on the resume. A picture is also recommended. People usually include all of this at the top with address and contact numbers.
This type of information may look out of place on your western CV, but you'll just have to reformat it to accept this stuff. |
