Yes, I was wondering how long it takes to get hold of the relevant visa to work in Taiwain for a lovely English lad like myself. I realise this may not be quite as simple as I anticipated but a rough estimate would be nice.

In my my own case, if memory serves me correctly, once I had an itinerary, proof of available funds, photos and forms filled out, the process visa process took one business day. I dropped my passport and paperwork of one day and picked it up the next. Are you talking about the resident visas and ARC once you get here? That will take longer, but you only worry about that once you get here.

Basically I am entering into something at the moment that is extremely uncertain and if it doesn't work out I want to be able to take flight ASAP. Taiwain, China etc appeal because of how quickly I can be there having secured a job. I understand that this is not the best reason for choosing somewhere to relocate but, trust me, if what I am going into goes *beep* up then anywhere is better than here.
