i see some discussion has already gone on about teaching english in poland as a non-EU citizen, but i see no solid answers. does anyone know whether its possible to get a job in poland as an american these days? im looking at IH Krakow (CELTA and then finding a job), and that opens up a whole new can of questions, but for now, anyone have any info about teaching in poland w/ out an EU-passport? |

I am Canadian and I have had no problem working here. Yes I have been here for over two years, but schools are still knocking on my door, so to speak, as there is a shortage of native teachers where I am. |

Hi, I am a Kiwi who has been in Poland for the last couple of years working as an English Teacher. It is ok for finding work but i would reccomend finding a school that will help you with the work permits as Poland requires a lot of Paper work, and even in larger cities like Warasaw a lot of the people who you need to talk to have limited English capabilities. So as long as the school is willing to help you with the paper work it is reasonably easy to get permits etc. |
