I am thinking of possibly enhancing my prospects with a further qualification. I am from the UK so of course the PGCE is rather tempting. The possible problem though is that the subject that I could do the course in, social studies, doesn't lead to qualified teacher status. It is ment to allow one to teach at colleges of higher education.
So does anyone know if there will be a qualitative difference on the appearance of the certificate and do you think that I would be able to enhance my chances in the TEFL job market abroad? I am thinking in terms of international schools I guess.
Many thanks. |

Take a PGCE that will let you teach in a school. The practice is the most important part. And then get QTS before you leave the UK |
