Is 10$US/hour a decent wage in Petersburg?

If that's academic hours (i.e. you're getting paid for 30 hours a week) you'd be getting $300 a week or $1200 a month. I assume that does not include housing, but that's still more than the major schools pay. Is the school paying for your visa and flight too? (they're expensive you know).

And yes I know you can make more money teaching privates. Cool

Hello,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, that is definitely per academic hour (45 real minutes) and doesn't include housing.

I didn't even ask about flight reimbursement or visa since I was working at BKC-Moscow before.

Only 18 hours to start with unfortunately.

Hey

What is your opinion on BKC? Coming to Russia in January.

If BKC doesnt pay for your visa, flight & housing (that means you are off-contact teacher) then your rate can be from 12 up to 17 $ per academic hour (45 min).

If youd like to have any idea what the school is like then go this site www.unbound.ru or http://www.eslcafe.com/jobinfo/europe/sefer.cgi?Russia

Sure there is no critics you can find here if you look at some previous threads! Wink
