Meself, I wish I had a stake in the Surgical Mask business.
Staggeringly popular in the manor, squire, and I can't find one for sale now anywhere at any price. (I want one to wear on trains and elevators.) I can't get anyone to tell me where to buy one. Perhaps it's just because I'm foreign; limited stocks are being reserved for the homeys???
Anyway, I feel better knowing that nobody back in the God-fearing, free-enterprising West _ever_ tries to capitalize on human tragedy or health scares.

Dear MartinK,
nothing surprising there although I have not seen this phenomenon in my area (yet); it is a human trait. Congratulate your boss for his insight - the extra cash might help maintain a good atmosphere at the office! You know if SARS keeps spreading at this rate classes might have to be cancelled, with disastrous consequences for everybody, especially for YOU! |
