I am thinking about starting work with ECC after being on the Jet Programme.
I was wondering, how intense is the english grammar test involved in the interview.
Its kinda hard studying for something that you have no idea what level they are expecting.
If anyone can give me a few pointers it would be much appreciated.
Cheers. |

You mean to tell me that they have an English Grammar Evaluation Test for prospective employees!? That's unbelievable!!
I always thought that ECC was just another English teacher factory like all the other biggies.
Sounds like nothing to worry about though.

Actually GEOS has a grammar test too. It isn't really something most people know. For example, they ask what a gerund is. Native speakers might know the language, but knowing what the labels are is a different matter.
The simple thing is to get a grammar book and try to read a bit each day. Think of it as training for that job. I almost got bounced from the interview for not doing so well on the test. They wanted me, so they gave me a second chance. However, if you are on the bubble, a poor result on the grammar test will certainly do in your application. |
