Tefl.com regularly advertise vacancies but beware of firms like Language Link and B.K.C.! for many reasons which you can find about from other postings on this site.If you do not have previous teaching experience,do not know Russian and have never visited the country before either, then I would not recommend you to go there for a first job.The firms that do offer well-paid work on an hourly basis are inevitably mostly situated in Moscow but do not pay other expenses such as visas and accomodation, meaning they are mostly suitable for people who are already over there or at least know how to set themselves up. |

maruss,
if i go to russia it wont be the first ELT job for me (i have 3 years experience teaching in east asia), nor my first visit to russia...but it would be my first time living in russia. im realizing thru seeing the working conditions of teaching jobs in russia that the salaries are much lower than what ive gotten in korea/japan and the life could be more challenging...but thats ok, im up for a challenge. |
