I think my friends are more emotional then I am! lol....I have a nice entourage of people coming to the airport with me to say goodbye...they all love me! heehee |

Yeah, good luck. It is a big step going to a country where your native language is not spoken. I still laugh about my first phone call in South Korea which was my first overseas port of call. The sleeping thing was difficult. |

The first week of being in a new country with a completely different culture is so stimulating. To make up for the language berrier, I focused a lot of attention on body language. In fact I got so good at reading body language when I finally did visit the country I was born in I could easily tell when people were lying. Some of my friends would even ask me how I could tell when they were not being completely truthful.
Everything I did I did with complete awareness! Walking down a street, I would look at everything and listen to every sound. That was back in 1996.
Good luck to you! |

For me it's just like Mt Waverley, the south eastern suburb of Melbourne (Australia), from which I came. Only fewer foreigners and more Chinese spoken. |
