Hiya folks!
am wanting to do a couple of years from 2006 teaching english all over the world (to enrich myself mentally, plus to see a bit of the world), if there are any south africans out there, what did you do before you left? (did you do any courses or just fake it?)
any feedback most welcome!

get in touch with International House (not sure where but I know they're in S. Africa). They can offer you the CELTA which is the bare bones essential qualification to get you on your feet in class. |

thanks dude, got a tefl qualification already in 2001, but dont think it is up to scratch,was for a month, but not very intensive, and no classroom expeience, but will lokk at I.H! |

Hi. I did the IH Celta in Durban (www.ihdurban.co.za) in November/December. It's for a month & I thought it was pretty intense. Plus there's teaching prac, so overall I found it worthwhile, though I've not gone out to teach ... yet |
