Hey, this might be a silly question, but I figured you guys would know the answer.

My boyfriend is coming to visit me at the end of this month, and he made hotel reservations on the Japan City Hotel Association website (via JNTO). I got the confirmation e-mail and all, but due to the fact they don't take a credit card number, I am wondering if there is an extra step that needs to be taken. My friend told me that she made reservations via phone with a hotel that assumed she wasn't coming because she did not call the hotel before they arrived. She ended up having to stay in a love hotel. I'd like to avoid any problems like that! Thanks for your help.
