Presently I am editing a newspaper in Jakarta but I would really like to work in Japan doing the same thing. Any advice, please?

What is your nationality, age, work experience in that field, and ability to speak Japanese?

I am Australian but have been living in USA, Korea, PNG, Indonesia and East Timor for the last ten years. I have an Asian Studies degree (history), have been to Japan twice (Honshu, Kyushu). My experience with print media is extensive, from cadet at The Australian to Copy Editor (only native speaker) of Indonesia Daily. Won ABC short fiction award.
I'm 52, and don't speak Japanese, but I do know how to use translation software which, from experience, gets it to the point where I can start cleaning it up. My daughter spent a year in Hakadote as an exchange student. She speaks, reads and writes; and we are very close. She is now a nurse, with an International Relations degree, and I'd like her to come and spend another year or two in Japan if I can find a rewarding job. For her it would not be a problem. Hope I've answered your questions. [/i]
