Last time I did this I got to swap my books for some really good ones.
I am off to Australia for a month but when I return I have approx 15 English novels to swap, probaby more cause I will bring some back. Any one interested. It is really easy to send and very cheap if within china. I think last time it cost me about 10 RMB
Leave name here and how many books and title and type if you can be bothered. Like Dectective Novel How many pages is also good.

Here is another eager swapping partner... I have maybe 200 books of fiction to trade in, of which a few in French and some in German but 95% of the rest in English.
But let me share with you some logistical insight that might dampen your euphoria:
FIrst: you will need to send your books in parcels that bear a Chinese-language address. Ask your FAO to type it for you in an email for the recipient to print it out.
But here is another thing that might disappoint some: the China Post can be terribly S-l-o-w !!!
I posted a bunch of books to a guy in Eastern China in spring of last year, relyin g on what i believed to be a far more tustworthy operation - the Hongkong Post.
My correspondent's books arrived at my Guangdong address within a week (address in Chinese); my books, sent off from HK, with the address in English, arrived in the middle of JUNE - a couple of weeks before my swapping partner left the country, and almost 4 months after I had sent them. |
