| I'm a British citizen currently working in China and am coming to Thailand on holiday for 5 weeks in January. I know I can stay for 30 days, but am not sure what to do about officially extending my stay. Is it better to get a tourist visa before I leave or can I do it in Thailand? |

Better to get it before mate really, although if it's a real pain to do so in China. You can always go to Penang, Singapore or elsewhere to get one after your 30 days are up (but you can't get it within Thailand).
