Presently I am editing a newspaper in Jakarta but I would really like to work in Taiwan doing the same type of thing. Any advice, please? |

Be prepared to work long hours for short pay. Teachers earn just as much and work half the time. But if you really love the work, there's plenty of it.
Check out the Forumosa.com site and look in the gereral employment area. I could be wrong about some of the other editing opportunities, such as private ESL institutes, publishing houses and corporate work, but they expect a lot for a little.
I made several inquiries into editing and writing and was discouraged very quickly. |

Thankyou very much. First time I've tried a forum. I'll check out the links. |

I agree with this. You'll make more teaching, no doubt about it. A good teacher easily makes more than an editor, writer, etc. Teach first--use it as your base to search for other opportunities. If you do the opposite, you'll end up in the poorhouse. |
