Hi,
Is there such a thing as summer positions available in China? I do not have a degree yet (BA in English expected 2007) or TESL qualification (TESL certificate expected 2006 - requires 25 university credits). I have 8 months experience as a classroom assistant (4 months in ESL and 4 months in 4th grade). I will be completing the teacher's education certificate after my BA graduation.
I've posted a resume and been contacted twice, both from shady recruiters. Is there any hope? I'm assuming China is my best bet, but I would be interested in other places. |

you're planning too far ahead right now. Most schools are dealing with recruiting for the upcoming semester.
Summer employement is the easiest to find in this country as there are summer camps every freaking where.... give it a few months. Recruiters are usually the only ones that can keep you in mind and contact you once plans are drawn. |

It's never too far ahead to plan coming to China.
The OP has five months to do some good research and find a good school that isn't going to exploit him more than some others will. |
