Gi day guys
I have a small problem with the next topic i have to teach to my Class of 5-6 year olds
I have to teach the concepts of Weight and simple addition up to 1kg -
I was wondering if any one has had any experience in teaching this to 6 years old and how i can make it enjoyable so they remeber it as well.
I have taught many others but at wits end to this one and the school that i am at hasnt got that many resources

It might be useful for you to post this query on the dedicated forum for Elementary Education.
I know that Chinese kindergartens teach such basic stuff - unfortunately! It inevitably degenerates into cramming. You can, of course, always try to make your pupils learn by rote.
It is not the way I would want to do it; once I had an induction to a private school that had classes from grade 1 through college, and the medium of instruction was to be English...
The books I saw were horrible. Luckily, the kids knew how to read ABC.
In my opinion, maths is no subject fit for kindergarten kids! |
