Hello all,
I'm thinking of going back to Taiwan to teach ESL again. How's the job market? What are your recommendations for my going in January or February? I forget exactly when the Chinese New Year holiday period is.

| Job market should be about as you left it. Plenty of jobs around. Chinese new year holiday is from about the 7th to the 15th of February this year. |

After the Lunar Holiday (February 14 or Valentines Day) is the next big hiring season. It looks like it might be a bit slow this year because of government attempts to regulate English out of Taiwan. You will probably still do better than average as a private tutor because schools are feeling the pressure from over regulation.
