Hello,

I have accepted a job in Huizhou, near Hong Kong, that is to start in early to mid June. Does anybody know if the SARS has hit that place at all, or is it relatively safe? I am not buying my ticket or anything until a time that is closer to the starting date in order to monitior the situation with this disease. Also, what is there to do there? Are there any bars that are frequented by foriegners?

I have not seen any SARS stats broken down into localities except province by province.
Huizhou is in one of the most-affected provinces, Guangdong.

Huizhou is a smallish town, not much to see, and probably without many expats (I only knew a couple of Canadians at a private outfit). The city is about 80 kms from Shenzhen, or a 100 kms from Guangzhou.
