Unless someone is going to set me right - I strongly counsel you against accepting a position in Zibo.
This is a place in the middle of nowhere. A few years back, there was one highly disreputable employer in that town, and that one generated pretty many letters of complaint.
I don't think they have gotten a lot of competition lately.
And anyway, Zibo being where it is, I don't think you would want to be there for more than a day! |

Roger is on point with this, I have friends in Zibo. Five of them, and only one is remotely happy with his employer. Zibo is in the sticks of China, although its a large city with some interesting nightlife, I would not reccomend it. If you want a big city, I suggest the coast, if you want to be in the middle of nowhere like me presently (hehe) , then, well, do some research. If you like Shandong, then go to qingdao(highly recomended, very ecclectic) or yantai (maybe), even Dongying has some okay schools. I haven't heard much good from Zibo. |

I will add my support to the anti-Zibo cause! If you want a real dirty, industrial Chinese city, then go there; otherwise, don't. I had a student from Zibo - I think she was the only Chinese student I have ever taught who didn't say, "Welcome to my hometown." Qingdao is modern and has loads of westerners/bars etc. Yantai is also quite modern, but retains more of a Chinese feel, far fewer foreigners etc.
To answer your actual question, don't know anything about the school! |
