I have been reading these forums for about as long as they have existed.
I decided to sign up and post about legal matters.
I apologize for the lack of consideration in my style of writing this post as it will be very self-centered in the beginning.
I realize that there are two strong points of view about "legal" "contracts" in China.
There is no need to regurgitate any of it.
Let me ask you to think about what you already know, think you know, think you heard, or anything else that lead you to your opinion.

Now, do you want it to be this way?

Do you care if the situation improves?

The following is only for Trolls and Flamers:

You can be cute, or ugly, and flame the questions here, or, you can think about the realities involved.

If at this point you are already formulating your flame, read note one below.

If you are still thinking, or have decided that this issue, even though it may not concern you, is not a fools' writing, please ignore note one below.

Note One: Do you care about anything other than your miserable little paycheck?

Note Two: Edited to make my pretty little dashed line work nicely.

Note Three: See Note One.

here's my take on the whole thing:

the contracts we sign are complete bogus from the chinese point of view. They try to use them as leverage to get the teachers to do certain things they might not want to do yet they feel like they can deviate from it whenever they please. What makes it a tad bit complicated is that they still have to pretend that it is important so that we don't use it the next time we run out of toilet paper.

So in a weird way, the contract is a piece of crap that becomes meaningful by virtue of its use....

just my 2 fens
