Hey,
I 've just had an interview with Interac.
If I got offered a job, I will go in April-May.
I have read bad comments on Interac re. they don't pay on time etc.
I would like to hear comments from anybody who is currently working for them or has recently worked for them.
I have a few questions:
Is this true that they won't pay for July and August?
If I don't get paid in July, August, is it easy to get a job as a teacher during the summer?
Do they pay for your holidays or just for bank holidays?
Do they pay for your health insurance?
Do they help you find an apartment?
I read on this website that they take ages to pay and that you will only get half of your first month salary after 6 weeks. Is it still the case?
How much money do I need to bring with me to live on until I get paid? Would 4000 Euro be enough?
Thanks for your help.
I know this has probably been discussed before but I would really appreciate if you could give me some info. on Interac. The more the better!
Thanks a mil! |

hey sabine,
do a search on this site and also on gaijinpot.com, there have been loads of questions and answers posted about this topic in the last couple of weeks. from what i hear, the thing about late pay depends on where you are based, most people seem to say that tokyo/chiba area pays on time whereas some people in the nagoya/osaka area have had problems in the past. also i think that the first pay check for april is actually paid at the end of may! and interac do not give you a place to stay, you can suggest what you are looking for but in the end the teacher must fork out all key money/deposit/agency fee etc which could set you back a few hundred thousand yen! so start saving!
hope this helps! |
