I am going to Saigon in middle January.
Will be looking for accommodation.
What are the chances to find work at this time?
Merry XMass all

Things are really slowing down here - at the school Im working at, they have given us a holiday until 10 Jan and another school I know of will close for the entire month of February.
You also need to consider that Tet starts on the th of Feb. and all schools are closed for 2 weeks - some for longer.
From what Ive heard from Academic Managers is that things should pick up in late March.
Good Luck with the search

January is certainly the worst time to arrive looking for work. The few new classes starting up generally go to established teachers. You may manage to pick up a few hours a week, but it won't be enough to live on. I speak from experience - I arrived at the end of December a few years ago and really had to stretch my funds for about three months.
March is the earliest time you'll want to arrive. |
